Awesome.

It’s been raining pretty hard near where I go to school, but since it takes me like 40 minutes to get there, I had no idea of the weather conditions and decided to forgo an umbrella like usual. So I’m pretty much 3/4’s there and it’s getting pretty bad, but it’s a quick walk to campus anyway, so no worries. After class, it’s raining alot heavier and it takes awhile to get to the other bus stop to get back home, so everybody should be able to see where this is going… drenched in rain + air conditioned buses + 40 minute bus rides = fun.

I watched 300 today and it was pretty good. I haven’t read much hype or reviews or anything glorifying the specific things that make it so awesome and stuff, so I still have to say it’s a good film, not the best I’ve seen, but one I’d watch again. I had heard it was supposed to be fairly gruesome, but I must be really desensitized because I didn’t find the whole decapitation, stabbing, and so on too horrific.

I thought it could’ve used a couple more battle scenes, even though I was kinda tired of them after the first skirmish, but they’re still very enjoyable to watch. (I would say the battle after the last speech in the movie would make an entertaining DVD bonus feature :p) I read an article about the actors getting fit and what-not for the movie, and it sounded pretty impressive. There’s also an article somewhere about the historical accuracy of the movie which I haven’t read.

I’m not sure where I’m going with this post so I guess I’ll say that I found the movie entertaining.
